Delivery & Returns

We aim to despatch orders within three working days from the time payment has been received. For packing and delivery we charge £2.99. We only deliver within the United Kingdom.

Returns and Guarantee
We want you to be happy with your purchase and guarantee to exchange or refund items you are not completely delighted with. All we ask is that you return them to us within 14 days, unused.

Should you need to return an item, we recommend you use recorded or registered post to enable proof of postage. Please include your name, email and postal address and details of the problem with the book/s and state whether you require an exchange or refund.

It is the sender’s responsibility to ensure the book/s arrive safely. We do not refund postage and packing costs. Returns can be posted to us at Books on the Lane, 59 Oakenshaw Lane, Walton, Wakefield, WF2 6NJ.

Once your return has been received by us, we aim to refund or exchange within seven working days. You will be emailed once your refund has been processed. We can only credit the account/debit card/credit card that was used to make the original purchase.

The following are situations where only partial refunds can be provided: books not in their original condition with damage for reasons not due to our error. Any book/s returned more than 14 days after delivery.

If you prefer not to pay by debit or credit card we are happy to receive cheque payment, on bank clearance of which, we can post out your book/s.
